Makro respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and share your data when you use the app. If you do not agree to the terms of this policy, do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

• No Personally Identifying Information: Makro does not collect your name, email address, date of birth, or any other personally identifying information. You do not create an account to use the app.
• Health and Nutrition Data: When you log meals, set nutrition goals, or track macros, that data is stored locally on your device using Apple's built-in data storage framework. Your nutrition and macro data is never transmitted to or stored on Makro's servers.
• Widget Data: If you use the Makro widget, today's macro totals are written to a local shared storage area on your device so the widget can display them. This data does not leave your device.
• No Usage or Analytics Data: Makro does not use any analytics or tracking services and contains no analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not collect data about how you use the app.
• App Content Downloads: The app periodically downloads configuration and food-catalog files (static content such as food suggestions, categories, and units) from our website, piremsapps.com. These requests contain no personal or nutrition data; as with any web request, our server may see standard connection information such as your IP address, device user agent, and the time of the request.
• Subscription Data: If you purchase a Makro subscription, Apple processes your payment and subscription status. We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to verify your subscription entitlement. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID, a device identifier, your purchase history, and general device and operating system information — never your nutrition data or any personally identifying information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and improve the app's features and functionality.
• To send meal reminders if enabled.
• To verify active subscription status and unlock premium features.
• To ensure compliance with applicable laws and prevent fraud or misuse.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your information. We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• RevenueCat — Subscription management. RevenueCat verifies your App Store subscription status and may collect an anonymous app user ID, your device identifier, and purchase history. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store — All payments and subscriptions are processed by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

We may also share information in the following situations:

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or if we believe such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.
• Business Transfers: If Makro is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

4. Notifications

Meal reminders in Makro are local notifications, scheduled and delivered entirely on your device. The app does not use push (remote) notifications, and nothing about your reminders is sent to any server. Please note that the reminder names you enter appear in the notification itself, so they may be visible on your device's lock screen.

5. In-App Web Content

Some content — such as this Privacy Policy, the Terms of Use, and announcements — opens inside an in-app browser that loads pages from piremsapps.com or from URLs referenced in announcements. Like any web page, that content may use standard web technologies such as cookies. See the Third-Party Links section below.

6. Data Security

Your nutrition and macro data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to Makro's servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any data we do handle. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. Because Makro does not collect personally identifying information and stores nutrition data only on your device, you are always in control of your data: you can delete individual entries or clear your entire logging history at any time from the History screen in the app, and uninstalling the app removes your nutrition data from your device. We do not maintain a backend server that stores your information, so no further action is required on our end. A small cache holding today's macro totals for the widget is kept in shared on-device storage; it never leaves your device.

8. Third-Party Links

The app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. Please review their privacy policies before providing any information.

9. Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected information from a person under 18, please contact us to have the data removed.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
