50 States respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and share your data when you use the app. If you do not agree to the terms of this policy, do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

• No Personally Identifying Information: 50 States does not collect your name, email address, date of birth, or any other personally identifying information. You do not create an account to use the app.
• Game Data: Your scores, game statistics, and per-state miss counters are stored locally on your device using Apple's built-in data storage framework. Your game data is never transmitted to or stored on 50 States' servers.
• Advertising Data: The app is free and supported by ads served through Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). Before serving ads, the app asks for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you allow tracking, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier and related advertising data (such as device information and ad interactions) to serve and measure ads, which may be personalized. If you decline, ads are still shown but without the use of your advertising identifier for tracking.
• Analytics Data: We use Mixpanel, a third-party analytics service, to collect a deliberately minimal set of technical events: one-time data-migration diagnostics and basic share-action information (for example, that a score was shared and from which screen). These events contain no gameplay details, no state names you type, and no personally identifying information. IP-based location lookup is explicitly disabled in the app, so Mixpanel does not derive your location.
• App Content Downloads: The app periodically downloads a configuration file (static content such as feature settings and share text) from our website, piremsapps.com. These requests contain no personal or game data; as with any web request, our server may see standard connection information such as your IP address, device user agent, and the time of the request.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

• To provide and improve the app's features and functionality.
• To display ads that keep the app free.
• To monitor technical performance, diagnose issues, and fix bugs.
• To ensure compliance with applicable laws and prevent fraud or misuse.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your information. We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:

• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) — Advertising. Google may collect device and advertising data as described above to serve and measure ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses data in its advertising services.
• Mixpanel — Analytics. Mixpanel receives the minimal technical events described above along with general device and operating system information. See Mixpanel's Privacy Policy.

We may also share information in the following situations:

• Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or if we believe such action is necessary to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights.
• Business Transfers: If 50 States is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.

4. Advertising

The app displays banner and interstitial ads during gameplay, and the Guess the State mode offers optional rewarded ads that grant extra lives. Whether ads are shown is controlled by a remote configuration setting, and the app requests App Tracking Transparency authorization before any ads are loaded. You can change your tracking choice at any time in your device's Settings under Privacy & Security > Tracking. While ad networks attempt to filter inappropriate content, we do not control the specific ads shown and are not responsible for their content.

5. In-App Web Content

Some content — such as this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use — opens inside an in-app browser that loads pages from piremsapps.com. Like any web page, that content may use standard web technologies such as cookies. See the Third-Party Links section below.

6. Data Security

Your game data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to 50 States' servers. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect any data we do handle. However, no method of electronic storage is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Privacy Rights and Data Deletion

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your data. Because 50 States does not collect personally identifying information and stores game data only on your device, you are always in control of your data: the Reset Statistics control on the Statistics screen deletes the selected mode's scores and per-state miss counters, and uninstalling the app erases all locally stored data from your device. We do not maintain a backend server that stores your information, so nothing further is retained by us. Data processed by our advertising and analytics partners is governed by their own privacy policies, linked in the Third-Party Services section above.

8. Third-Party Links

The app may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. Please review their privacy policies before providing any information.

9. Children's Privacy

The app is intended for users aged 17 and older due to the presence of third-party ads that may contain potentially unsuitable content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 17. If you believe we have collected information from a person under 17, please contact us to have the data removed.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
